I had the pleasure of attending Bonnie Billy & the Picket Line in the studio at InRoomOne
this past week (Dec.30th, 2008).
The light was very low to accompany the aesthetic overtones of the music.
However for a photographer, low light is our biggest enemy. Not wanting to use flashes to distract the group, take away from the mellow mood or have the microphones pickup the sound of the flash pops, I ended up shooting with my
ISO blown out to 3200.
The high ISO ended up working into my favor for some of the images, because the grain adds a bit of it's own pleasure into each shot.
