Scouting for Boulders in the RRG, KY

Today (Apr. 06, 08) we went searching for more boulders in the RRG. Heres a few images of what we found.

This area reminds me of the images I've seen from Squamish, BC. Everything is covered in moss and lichen. There are rocks scattered all over the landing areas and the forest is dense in vegetation and interesting root systems.

This is a bad-ass boulder Mark Osbourne found a while ago. The line up the arete is super sweet and very photogenic under the right lighting conditions. Too bad the light was harsh when we were there. A nice image will be coming in the future. Mark has named it,
"Self-fulfilling Prophecy" with an est grade of V8.

Same problem, different perspective.

Andrew Gearing had told us about this line, so we decided to go check it out. Currently, it's unnamed and unrated.

One move past the start, down left.

middle of problem after heinous swing out right.

getting near the (moist) topout, with bad landing.

I like moss...

and this lonely flower...
