Portrait session with Indianapolis Painter: Justin Vining

Long time climbing friend of mine, Justin Vining
recently made the leap from being a lawyer to chasing
his dream of being a full-time painter/artist.
It had been about 4 years since we've been able to hang out,
so last week I drove up to Indianapolis, IN
where he now lives and paints out of
Studio 654 (his studio space) in Broad Ripple.

Justin used to teach elementary art on the Northeast
side of Indianapolis, IN in Pendleton.
Justin can also complete the Rubix Cube in record setting times
ie. 20sec or less

Justin has a very unique style to his paintings,
almost reminiscent of the movie Beetlejuice.

Here are promotional shots for Justin that we captured that day:

A work in progress...

Inside the studio

I had to add this little guy because he hung out with us all day.

Refining the tip of the brush

Sometimes Justin will work outside the studio.
People passing by on the Monon Trail
are able to view an artist at work.

Until the Future...

A stunning lively bright and colorful work that brings so much emotions and put a smile on my face. Your painting is unique, Justin, and I love this very special universe your brushes depict. I feel like diving into the canevas...
